A local client in the Nashville Tennessee area is seeking an Enterprise Application Architect for a permanent position.

The Architect will report directly to the Director of Application Development and will be responsible for developing and maintaining the 1-2 year road map for the client’s technology strategy.

- Provide the overall direction, guidance and definition of the client’s IT architecture to effectively support the corporate business strategy
- Support all architectural disciplines and initiatives
- Work with IT leadership to prioritize the client’s application strategy
- Provide leadership for the architecture team
- Serve as a key player in the recruitment and professional development of the architecture staff

Required skills:
- 10-15 years of software engineering experience
- Experience with Cloud Architecture, AWS Cloud technologies is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills; the ability to assess impact (Top-Down / Bottom Up)
- Experience working with IT & Business Leadership, including Development and Project Managers
- Direct to consumer experience with IT Systems
- Understanding of architectural concepts and their application
- Experience with on/off shore development team environments
- Open source tool and application experience
- Proficient in agile concepts, DevOps & CI-CD pipeline
- Ability to mentor developers and other members of the team
- Have a firm grip on industry vs. tech limitations versus what’s best practice
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments:
- Knowledge of all components of a holistic enterprise architecture, business re-engineering principles and processes, and basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting

- 5+ years in an Enterprise Architecture role

- 20 AMI’s in T2 Micros
- Approximately 20 Microservices
- Experience with the architectural runway and ability to lead and own an architecture review board
- Insurance and/or financial industry domain knowledge
- Ability to define, refine and align application architecture to conform to the Enterprise Roadmap
- Exposure to greater than $10 million technical transformation projects
- Ability to serve as a principal contributor of the client’s technology roadmap
- Knowledge of coming technology implementations: Docker, Kubernetes, EKS cluster packing into one big VM

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Systems Analysis or a related field or equivalent work experience
