A client in the Nashville, TN area is seeking a Manager of Data Management for a permanent position.

The Manager will work with the client’s Analytics team to identify data needed and to develop various data assets to support those needs. The Manager collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate data quality, data availability, and data accessibility and leads a team in developing data management policies and procedures. The Manager’s team is also responsible for identifying and/or documenting internal and external data sources, procuring, and manipulating data elements.

• Manage a team of developers in the development of Analytics data marts and processes
• Partner with stakeholders to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions
• Build strategic data management technology roadmap and execution plans
• Design stable, reliable, and effective databases and establish best practiced
• Manage the design, development, testing, and performance tuning of ETL processes to support the collection of data from disparate systems
• Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent data management framework is applied
• Research leading edge capabilities to determine the best solution fit for the analytics data environments
• Monitor data systems to ensure reliability and accuracy of information throughout the data lifecycle
• Maintain all documentation related to data objects, source systems, and operations

Required skills:
• 8+ years of demonstrable experience with the SQL Server Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, etc.) Stored Procs, Functions, and SQL server agent
• At least 4 years of experience in design, development, and management of databases
• At least 2 years of healthcare claims and eligibility data experience
• Good understanding of data management processes, data flows, data relationships, data quality management, and data governance
• Ability to prioritize work with tight schedules and target dates
• Focus on execution and strategy implementation for short and long-projects
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communications skills
• Results driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred skills:
• Previous supervisory or management responsibility
• Experience with Python, SAS and Tableau

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
