Description:
A client in the Tampa Bay, Florida area is seeking a Manager of Business Analysis for a permanent position. A hybrid work schedule is available for this role.

This Manager will oversee the Business Analysis team which is responsible for analyzing business software needs and developing, refining, and documenting high-quality requirements for the company’s software products. Key job duties include managing personnel, prioritizing, and scoping projects, developing, and implementing processes to validate that requirements have been well documented, meet quality standards, and have business management approvals.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure software projects meet business success criteria
• Coach and develop Business Analysts to advance their skill levels
• Develop and design requirement standards for software platforms
• Create and maintain requirements traceability matrices in conjunction with the project management team
• Develop processes and procedures to ensure business solutions meet strategic goals
• Implement best practices for software requirement writing, following industry standards
• Ensure completeness of business requirements, functional requirements, and design specifications
• Implement and maintain functional and user interface standards in the design of user interfaces, including screen layout, access, and navigation
• Plan and facilitate user design sessions
• Document decisions and supporting reasons for the actions made at design meetings
• Identify and communicate project risks to the project manager
• Facilitate knowledge transfer by presenting results of all analysis and deliverables to project teams
• Consult with key stakeholders to determine business objectives and success factors
• Collaborate with team members to collect, analyze, and evaluate information from multiple sources, present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Continuously improve existing business processes and strive to develop new ones to improve efficiency
• Ensure that all application requirements are documented for HIPAA compliance, SOX compliance, and software security vulnerabilities
• Achieve operational objectives by contributing to information analysis
• Analyze project results to improve quality processes and standards
• Ensure metadata and process documentation is maintained
• Meet financial objectives by estimating timelines, preparing annual budgets, and scheduling expenditures
• Organize team efforts throughout the SDLC process
• Prioritize work and manage Business Analysts to meet deadlines
• Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA
• Complete assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required

Management/Supervisor responsibilities:
• Responsible for the selection and hiring of qualified staff, ensuring an effective on-boarding, and providing comprehensive training and regular feedback
• Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
• Establish annual goals and objectives for the department based on the organization’s strategic goals
• Responsible for achieving organizational performance and retention goals, including timely completion of performance evaluations

Required skills:
• 7 years’ experience in analysis related to software development; web technologies preferred
• Proven leadership, conflict resolution and troubleshooting skills
• Strong information technology acumen
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Expertise in software requirements quality and traceability concepts

Preferred skills:
• Knowledge/experience with DME (durable medical equipment) and/or HME (home medical Equipment)
• Prior healthcare experience
• Familiarity with Jira, Xray, SQL Server, .NET, and/or Snowflake

Education:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informational Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field is strongly preferred
